Paranormal Investigation

With more than 900 years of history and over six centuries of continuous occupation, the Lord Leycester provides an extraordinary setting for private paranormal investigations after dark.

Once the doors close to visitors, investigation groups can explore some of our oldest spaces, from the medieval Great Hall and Guildhall to rooms that have formed part of everyday life at the Lord Leycester for generations.

We don’t make claims about what you might discover – that’s for you to investigate.

Private Paranormal Hire

The Lord Leycester is available for private paranormal investigations from 6pm, with the site cleared by 11:30pm.

Paranormal investigation hire is charged at a flat rate of £550, with a £300 deposit required to secure your booking and the remaining £250 invoiced following your investigation.

A number of historic rooms across the Lord Leycester can be made available for paranormal investigations, alongside access to the medieval courtyard. The areas included in your hire will be agreed in advance and are subject to availability.

For health and safety reasons, paranormal investigations cannot currently take place in the Chapel of St James or the gardens.

Bring Your Own Investigation

You’re welcome to bring appropriate paranormal investigation equipment and to film or photograph your investigation.

As the Lord Leycester is both an important historic site and home to our resident Brethren, we ask all investigation groups to treat the buildings and community with respect. Historic objects and fixtures must not be touched or moved without prior permission, nothing may be attached to the historic fabric, and equipment must be positioned and used safely.

Full conditions of hire will be provided as part of the booking process.
