The Lord Leycester is one of the world’s oldest veterans’ charities, providing homes and community for former servicemen and women for over 450 years.

Founded in 1571 by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, the charity continues to support the Brethren – a community of former servicemen and women who live at the Lord Leycester in the heart of Warwick.

As a living heritage site, the Lord Leycester relies on the generosity of supporters to help maintain the Brethren’s homes, preserve the historic buildings and gardens they live within, and sustain a unique charitable community for future generations.
