The Great Hall Cafe
A Taste of The Fourpenny at the Lord Leycester
Our café is open and ready to welcome you!
We are delighted to be working with The Fourpenny Pub, Restaurant & Hotel, one of Warwick’s best-loved independent hospitality businesses, to bring their renowned food and hospitality to the historic Great Hall of the Lord Leycester.
Whether you’re visiting the Lord Leycester, meeting friends for lunch, or simply looking for somewhere a little different for coffee and cake, everyone is welcome!
Set beneath the timber beams of our magnificent medieval Great Hall, once used to entertain King James I, it might just be one of Warwick’s most unique places to stop for a bite to eat.
What’s on the Menu?
From freshly made coffee and pastries to light bites, lunches and all-day breakfasts, there’s plenty to choose from throughout the day.
With sandwich fillings, soups and cakes changing regularly, there is always something new to discover. Pop in today to see our daily specials.
See our current menu below for the latest selection and prices.

Meet The Fourpenny
The café is operated in partnership with The Fourpenny Pub, Restaurant & Hotel, an independent Warwick business known for its warm hospitality, locally sourced produce and seasonal food.
The new partnership brings together two Warwick institutions with a shared passion for quality, community and creating memorable experiences.
Alongside running the Great Hall Café, The Fourpenny is developing a dedicated catering kitchen at the Lord Leycester, helping us expand our events and private-hire offering and make even greater use of our historic spaces.
As Master of the Lord Leycester Daren Bowyer said:
“I am delighted to be working with Katie and Chris to ensure that the Lord Leycester can give its visitors a catering offer we can be proud of, while also developing an events business which will help sustain the Lord Leycester financially.”
