Founded in 1571 by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, the Lord Leycester is a registered charity (216831) that has provided accommodation to ex-servicemen for over 450 years. The Lord Leycester is also a modern visitor attraction, having undergone a major restoration project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which was completed in 2023.
There are a number of ways that you can support us and our charitable aims, from volunteering to help our small onsite team run the visitor attraction, to joining our Friends membership scheme or making a private donation. Pathway of Support
Threaded through the Master’s Garden, the Pathway of Support celebrates the restoration and transformation of the Lord Leycester by remembering those whose individual generosity has helped to turn our ambitions into reality.
For a donation of £500, the purchase of a paver greatly supports our charitable aims of providing accommodation to ex-servicemen and to ensure the upkeep of our gardens and grounds for future generations to explore – and view the Pathway of Support!
Your support for the Lord Leycester will be recognised with a bespoke engraved paver set into the Tudor garden at The Lord Leycester.
