Hallowe’en Pumpkin Carving Competition

Get your carving tools ready, Warwick! This Halloween, we’re inviting you to help transform the Lord Leycester into a wonderfully spooky autumn spectacle!

As the nights draw in and Halloween approaches, we’re getting into the spirit of the season here at the Lord Leycester. Our Café is already looking rather autumnal, and now we’d love your help bringing a little Halloween magic to the rest of our historic site.

Throughout the last week of October, we’re inviting families, friends and pumpkin-carving enthusiasts of all ages to bring along their very own carved pumpkins to be displayed around the Lord Leycester.

Whether you’re a master pumpkin carver or trying your hand at it for the very first time, everyone is welcome to take part. From traditional spooky faces and mischievous grins to wonderfully imaginative designs, we can’t wait to see what you create!

A Little Friendly Competition…

Of course, we couldn’t celebrate Halloween without a little competition!

On Friday 30th October 2026, our Master and Brethren will have the difficult task of choosing their favourite pumpkin from all the fantastic creations on display.

And there’s a rather lovely prize up for grabs…

🏆 The winning pumpkin carver will receive a FREE family annual ticket to the Lord Leycester!

That’s a whole year of opportunities to explore one of Warwick’s most fascinating historic landmarks with the family.
