Opening Times

The Lord Leycester is open Tuesday-Sunday, as well as Bank Holiday Mondays.

British Summer Time   10:00-17:00   Last entry: 16:00

Greenwich Mean Time   10:00-16:00   Last entry: 15:00

We are closed to general visitors during January and February, reopening in March. We are also closed 23-26th December.

Plan your visit

Most visitors spend around 1-2 hours exploring the Lord Leycester, although you’re welcome to stay for as long as you like during opening hours.

Explore our historic buildings, exhibitions and gardens at your own pace, join one of our regular guided tours led by the Brethren, stop for something to eat in the Great Hall Café, and visit our Gift Shop.

Last entry is strictly one hour before closing to allow visitors sufficient time to explore the site safely.

Café & Gift Shop

Our Great Hall Café and Gift Shop are open whenever the Lord Leycester is open. They are open to everyone and you do not need an admission ticket to visit.

The Café serves hot food, sandwiches, pastries, homemade cakes and desserts, with last orders 1 hour before the Lord Leycester closes.
